A view across the docks of the Nepean Sailing Club, at Dick Bell Park in Ottawa’s West end. No, those are not crosses in a cemetery, but rather mooring posts for the boats to tie onto during the liquid-water months.
This photo really lept out at me because of the extreme bokeh in the foreground, and the mixed lighting (Mercury & Sodium plus moon) coming in at various angles really made for quite an interesting exposure. I suspect having the IS turned on (despite being a tripod-shot) may have actually caused a very slight tilt-shift effect, further enhancing the aforementioned foreground bokeh. Syncros disagrees though.
